On the 16th January, AIPAS partners organised a kick-off meeting for the project at CENTRIC. We were grateful to host representatives from Innovate UK and Innovate UK Business Connect as well as from the Metropolitan Police and the Business Resilience Centre for the North East, Yorkshire and Humber.
This was the first chance for all partners to meet and discuss the project’s aims, objectives, and plan of work. It was a day of interesting discussions on the opportunities and challenges of implementing accountable AI applications in policing and security across the four AIPAS use cases.
AIPAS is funded through Responsible AI’s Impact Accelerator funding stream where projects aim to develop highly impactful research that ensures AI technologies are designed, deployed and used responsibly within societies.
