On the 19-20th March, an AIPAS team of Babak Akhgar OBE, P. Saskia Bayerl and Rowan Dennis were at AI UK to share updates on both the AP4AI project and AIPAS. With more than 1,500 in-person attendees the team were located in the Defence and Security zone sharing with delegates the trajectory of the project to date and the plans for the coming months.
The team had the opportunity to share existing work on the 12 Accountable AI principles and approaches for deploying AI accountably in the policing and security domain, as well as demonstrate existing self-assessment tools for AI Accountability that will be further developed for the UK ecosystem in the scope of the project.
